PasadenaLEARNs Expanded Learning Program provides before school, after school, and summer enrichment opportunities for Pasadena Unified School District students. Enrollment is on a first-come-first-serve basis with priority given to foster/homeless youth. Students who are classified as English Language Learners, foster/homeless youth, or who qualify for free/reduced price meals also have the option of enrolling in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program sponsored by PasadenaLEARNs.

In addition to a legacy of STEM initiatives for the next generation for over 80 years the Pasadena chapter has supported a range of initiatives that empower girls and women, including:
AAUW Fellowships and Grants – one of the world’s largest sources of funding for graduate women, distributing over $4 million last year (Fellowships & Grants – AAUW: Empowering Women Since 1881).
STEM Savvy Girls Science Day –designed to build interest and confidence in STEM among 6th–8th grade girls, led by women in STEM fields and hosted at Pasadena City College, Saturday April 25, 2026, 9 am- 12 noon (free)
Tech Trek – a summer science and math camp for 7th-grade girls (Tech Trek | AAUW Pasadena. (CA) Branch
