Climate Resilience Environmental Education Center

The Climate Resilience Environmental Education Center's (CREEC) vision is to create an environmental education center in Hahamongna Watershed Park that has a transformative impact on the public, through workforce development, climate resilience education, and biodiversity restoration, and is based on values of inclusion and environmental justice.

Benefits of Environmental Education - CREEC would provide a space for the Pasadena/Altadena community to engage in high-quality environmental and climate education, preparing our community members of all ages to take climate action:

-Knowledge in science, mathematics, reading, writing, and more

-Emotional and social skills, such as self-esteem, character development, team work, and leadership skills

-Environmentally friendly behavior, such as reducing water use, increasing recycling, utilization of native plant species in gardens, and participating in community cleanups
